Amazon's New World is proving to be a hit with players, hitting a concurrent player record of 200,000 people during the beta. The test, which began on July 20, has given many players their first taste of the game, and they seem to be enjoying it.

he New World beta is due to end on August 2, so players are running out of time if they want to explore the game for themselves before it officially releases on August 31. We don’t have an exact time for when the servers will be turned off, but we suspect Amazon will let players know closer to the day.

We also have no information on a potential open beta yet. It seems like doing an open beta to truly stress test the game’s network would be a good idea, but it remains to be seen if Amazon feels that is a necessary move after the massive player numbers in the closed beta.

When is the New World Closed Beta Start Date?

The New World Closed Beta Start date is July 20, 2021, at 12:30 PM Eastern Time. It will end on August 3, 2021, at 2:59 AM Eastern Time.

For now, you can look forward to playing New World in the Closed Beta when it launches next week. If you want to wait for release, you can buy New World for PC on Amazon or on Steam for $39.99 or your regional equivalent.

Disclosure: Amazon works with TechRaptor for affiliate partnership, and TechRaptor earns a small commission off purchases made from some links in this article.

How Do I participate in the New World Closed Beta?

For those who want to experience the new MMO before it even launches, there are few opportunities to take part in the New World Closed Beta on Steam.

The Amazon development team has confirmed that you can access everything that will be available this week by pre-ordering the game on Amazon or Steam.

However, there is also a way to get a code by logging into New World̵

7;s official closed beta site.

This doesn’t guarantee entry to the New World in July, but it is a free way to avoid spending cash.

A message from the New World Beta team confirms: “During the closed beta, we will select participants at random from the tester login page at regular intervals. If you signed up, check your email during the trial period to see if you received an invitation.

“Players who pre-order on Amazon before July 17 at 11:59 p.m. PT (6:59 p.m. UTC) will receive an invitation on July 19. Pre-orders on Amazon after July 17th will receive an invitation up to 48 hours after the order has been confirmed.

“If you’ve been invited to the private beta through the tester login page or pre-ordered from Amazon, you’ll receive a Steam key that can be redeemed through your Steam library. If you need instructions on how to activate a key in Steam, please follow this link here for more information.

“Once your key has been redeemed, you should see“ New World Closed Beta ”available for download in your Steam games library. From there you should be able to log in and play for the duration of the closed beta. “

How much Does New World Cost?

You can purchase it from both Amazon or Steam and its costs $39.99 for the Standard Edition. If you want the Deluxe Edition, it costs $49.99 and comes with a bunch of in-game cosmetics.

The Deluxe Edition Includes:

Woodsman armor skin
